450 - Main event

Here's the race of all races for today. The 450 class is lined up behind the gate and rolling on the parade lap.

This race can be very exciting. Will James and Chad get out ahead together, will we see contact in the 1st corner? It is a pretty tight track and things can happen.
Will we see the mother of all triple-triple be passed tonight, by the CEO of James Stewart Entertainment, or not. The 96-footer monster is waiting jaws wide opened.

Is Jason Lawrence going to play trouble and score a podium?
==============================

30 seconds Monster girl on the line

=============================

Jason Lawrence almost holeshot, but Grant gets it. Lawrence second for a lap before Chad passed him. Bubba in 3rd after passing JL
===========
911 is down, nothing serious. can't start the bike.

Bubba is wide open attacking on Chad Reed who's pushing Grant. Passed Grant for first, Bubba is behind in 2nd. Short is in the mix.
===========
Bubba passes Chad Reed with a wide open throttle into the finish line corner. Grant, Short, JLaw behind
===============
6 laps down and Bubba and CR are still in front; Reed keeps the same gap as JS can't get away. In the battle for 3rd the 3 stuggies are still going at it.
Windham is in a fight with Carpenter and Boni for 8th.
DM18 is in 7th.
======
Lap 12
JS is slowly increasing his lead.
J-Law is putting pressure on Short. Grant still 3rd. Wow, almost passed going into the tunnel

KDub now going after Carpenter ooooooooooh, James Stewart is down, obn the excit from the whoops. James is down and Chad now has 4 laps to go and get another win.

Wow!!
=======
Last lap. Reed will win, JS gets second, JG30 in 3rd. Good race for Short in 4th and J-Law in 5th.
K-Dub came back to 9th behind Millsaps. Alessi gets 7, Tedesco in 6th.

The championship is still wide open.

Lites Main

Riders are lined up, engine on.
30 seconds board up.

Pourcel amost last. Wharton leads followed by Izzi. Stroupe is on an aggressive roll
============

Is Pourcel going to pull it out or lose the series here.

=========

great battle for 3rd. Stroupe passed Friese, Goerke and has Lemoine and Blair in the mix.
=============
Izzi coming on Wharton. I think Nico will pass him. Stroupe is wide open trying to catch them.

Pourcel trying to come back to the top 10.
Interesting that Goerke is staying on Stroupe.

==============
Wharton is still leading. His brother goes down. Izzi is not making ground and Stroupe is not catching them. Wow, could Purple Rain win his first, he could.
============
Friese goes all crazy ballz after the finish line and goes down. Nothing serious but will be come back almost last.
==========
Pourcel not really moving up. Behind Clarke in 7th. Stroupe is coming onto Izzi very fast suddenly. Izzi is slow.
==========
In the whoops, coming onto lappers, Stroupe is going to attack, passed for 2nd, missed a shift, Izzi back in front. Stroupe is there again, hungry like a hyena.
=====
Last lap, Stroupe passes Izzi for 2nd and Wharton wins his first Main event. Woo hoo!!

============

Blake "Purple Rain" Wharton wins his first main event in his rookies year. This is the first ever Lites Main event win for a Texan. Great upset.
Izzi faded in the end and let a fast Stroupe back. Well done Goerke for 4th, good job. Lemoine is there too and the Frenchy gets back to 5th. Good save.

Hope the 450 will be as exciting.

450 pics

The freestyle show is over (actually that stuff lasts much less than the KTM Jr used to). Final track preps before the parade lap for the Lites Main. The 'dozers are working a bit.

I think that we are going to see some crashes and heavy use of elbow oil in the first lap. 15 laps, 47 seconds a lap, this will be done fast.

More pics

This is TP

What a last race. Travis deserves all the respect he is given by the crowd here and his peers. He gave it all. Electric start next year.

This place is all Pastranamania, the crowd is all about TP and there is no other rider (apart from Valentino Rossi) who can draw that size crowd and is loved by all. Very good night even if TP didn't make it to the Main.

Intermission. They are preparing the Jagermeister ramp for the freestyle show.

===================
8:55pm in St Louis

The Jagermeister KTM freestyle team is jumping while the Lites riders are lining up behind the gate.
Funny to see the thousands camera flashes going on every time they jump.

450 class LCQ

This is the big one. Millsaps is in there, Ramsey, Chisholm. It's going to be very hard for TP to make it.

TP in 6th
Kiniri and Coisy out

TP in 5th going for Chisholm. eats him in the whoops.

Millsaps passes Marsack and looses it, Marsack back in front, TP in 3rd.

he has a chance.

Man, Travis raced his heart out, passed Marsack and Chisholm, then got taken high by Chisholm who opened the door for Marsack to pass to. TP then stalled the bike and is out. Great show, great effort.

Factory Honda Davi Millsaps wins, Kyle Chisholm in second.

LCQ Lites

Chad Ward and Tyler Wharton makes it to the Main Lites. Notable who didn't make it are Jesseman, Tickle, Hahn, Jonon, Lichtle.

What a night

it is already. Kevin Windham wins his heat race and Bubba hits the ground twice and a pretty hard one.
The LCQ is coming, I still think this is an unfair race, although the most exciting of the night. They should add 2 more laps and take 4 riders.

SX Class - heat 2

With James "is incredible" Stewart and Travis "made to ride" Pastrana. Riders are on the line while Chad gets interviewed.

engines on.

Gate dropped. Bubba nailed holeshot. TP gets burried.

oooooh Bubba down.

Back in 8th, TP in 7th

Passed TP
K-Dub leading this race.
JS on a roll, passed Bowers.

TP racing Hill for 8th. Hill got him. TP is in 9th now.

Hoooo, James Stewart crashes again. Hit it hard though, this time. he remounted fast, but he took a hit to the head. He's riding ok, apparently.

Oh, no, on the same dragon back, TP goes down. restarts last.

K-dub wins, followed by Short, Carpenter, Sipes, Boni, Bowers. James makes it in 9th and TP in 16th.

SX Class - Heat 1

Jason Lawrence is in this one, DM18, chad Reed. The Heeeeeeat is on.

Reed holeshot, Voss second, Alessi third.

J-Law is in 5th, going for Grant. Passed him. Lawrence is fast. Going for Alessi

This lap, J-Law will get him. Yeah. Awesome pass.

Hepler trying to get Adams.
J-Law going for Voss, Chad is turning in 47.

Lawrence eats Voss row. Lawrence has amazing speed in the berm. Voss makes a mistake, Grants picks 3rd.

Last lap, Chad gets it easily (fastest lap in 46 sec for him), Lawrence 2nd, Grant 3rd, Alessi 4th, Tedesco 5th, congrats to Voss for 6th.
Whaton in 3rd.

Stroupe seems to control the race even though Izzi clocked a faster lap.

Some good battle in the back for 9th involving Jacob "globetrotter" Saylor and JT$

Austin Stroupe, Nico Izzi, B. Wharton, Sewell and Gills get Top 5. Saylor makes it in 7th, Daniel Blair in 8th.
Izzi on the move on AS. We are going to have a race.

Heat 2 - Lites

Stroupe Holeshot, 3 guys down in the rhythm section.

Izzi, Wharton, Sewell follow.

Green flag, we have a Heat.

This race is nuts. Friese, Pourcel and Lemoine all fighting hard. Lots of contacts.
Pourcel just passes Friese on the finish line. Lemoine passes Durham.
Two riders down o the face of the jumps after the whoops.
Lemoine 3rd.
I am losing my breath

Lemoine inside of Friese. VF back. In the whoops. Last lap.

Durham takes Friese and himself out

This is AX aggression. Wow. Another rider down.
Holy cow.
